Jeffrey J. Visco, MD, is a 1998-graduate of Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences/University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. His postgraduate training includes both his general surgery residency and his colorectal surgery fellowship served at the same educational venue (1998-2003, respectively 2003-2004). During his residency, Dr. Visco received the Dr. Joseph Dziob Award – Chief Resident Award for Trauma Management, the Dr. Theodore Jewett Jr. Award – Resident Award for Pediatric Surgery, as well as the House Staff Excellence in Teaching Award – Resident Award for Surgical Teaching. Dr. Visco completed his undergraduate education – Bachelor of Arts degree – at the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University in 1994. Upon completing his postgraduate training, he attained board certification in colon and rectal surgery with the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
